The figure is the real thematic protagonist in the work of Patrizia Parravicini, placed in composition where they move in an atmosphere all their own, a creation of grace and peace, of subtle beauty, without a shadow of vulgarity or the possibility of offending the observer's eye.
Maternity, the family, young children, faces large boned and intuitively formed, with the eyes open with tenderness, enlarged at the sides which look upon the loving temple, the sweep of the eyelash, the custom of an instinctively created environment. These works have nothing to do with the violent reality almost claiming spiritual values matured in an aesthetic consciousness wich assumes the autonomy derived from the force of real creativity, a force which liberates that which is called the artistic personality. This personality is seen also in Patrizia Parravicini's technique, which after the content is the other protagonist of her pictures.
One cannot explain this technique which the artist jeallously keeps to herself; it is however tied to a sandy back ground which "holds" the colour and transmits it in small particles, which render the image full of curves, which sets up a perspective intense without being creating an ensemble of real and profound values.
upon these values is based the work of our young artist, capable, up till now, of following her road of emotions, study, work and certainty.

BIOGRAPHIC NOTES
Patrizia Parravicini was born in Seregno (MI) and lives in Milan. She graduated with full marks at "Liceo" specializing in art subjects San Giuseppe of Monza and is teacher of art education. Trough numerous exhibitions in Italy (Milan, Rome, Venice) and abroad (New York, Los Angeles, Basel, Princeton, N.Hope) she is becoming popular to the press and to the specialized reviews, as well as radio and TV. She has obtained glamorous artistic recognitions and she is included in the more qualified art catalogues.
She has taught fresco for the municipality of Milan, executed posters for the Lombard region and districts, presented art and poetry critiques. She also joined the municipal art awards as a jury president, executed LP's covers, painted on walls and bronzes for private houses and collections. Her painting, a wise mixed oil technique, strikes for the smoothness of the fluent and clean brushstroke, capable of working on remarkable dimensions. The subjects range from complex nets of figures, to lonely intense naked bodies, spectacular views and bright natural elements (often reflected into crystalline waters and transparent rivers and seas) sorrounded by the quietness of clear skies and stormy atmospheres. The artist always communicates the fascination of unique moments, eternally captured.
